Reebok Dropping DDB Amid Creative Review, But Adidas Keeps Agency For Europe

Creative agency DDB, N.Y., is "splitting with Reebok amid a review" of the Reebok's global creative business, according to Andrew McMains of ADWEEK. The review is "in its late stages." Sources said that there are "a trio of contenders" in Mother; Goodby Silverstein & Partners; and Venables Bell & Partners. Select Resources Int'l "is managing the process." Annual global media spending on Reebok is estimated at $50M. Sources noted that DDB already "has produced ads that will roll out in the next few months." However, those ads "represent the agency’s last work." DDB "remains on Adidas’ creative roster, handling that brand’s digital business across Europe via an office in Amsterdam" (ADWEEK.com, 2/11).
