New Univ. of Cincinnati AD MIKE BOHN will "make $500,000 a year, plus a raft of bonus potential." Bohn will be "eligible for performance bonuses including $25,000 for a BCS bowl game in football, $25,000 for a Final Four berth in men's basketball and $12,500 in women's basketball, and $1,250 for non-revenue sports that qualify for national championship tournaments." There are "other incentives for ticket sales, private donations and academic performance" (CINCINNATI.com, 2/7).

MADE FOR TV MOMENT: The AFL L.A. KISS have "secured a deal for a docu-series on AMC." The show will "follow the arena league team's attempt to turn Los Angeles' first football squad in a half-dozen years into a winning franchise." As yet untitled, the program also will "feature owners and KISS bandmates PAUL STANLEY and GENE SIMMONS." AMC has "ordered 10 hour-long episodes and plans to debut the series this summer." The KISS' regular season ends July 26 (BIZJOURNALS.com, 2/7).

ON THE AUCTION BLOCK: Four significant pieces of Basketball HOFer MICHAEL JORDAN memorabilia "sold at auction early Saturday morning." Three items relating to Jordan's career at the Univ. of North Carolina -- a "diploma and two recruiting letters -- sold for more than $50,000 combined, while a game-used Dream Team uniform drew a $32,682 winning bid" (ESPN.com, 2/8)....The ball that late Baseball HOFer BABE RUTH autographed while "promising to hit a home run for a sick New Jersey boy was sold for $250,641 on Thursday night" (Newark STAR-LEDGER, 2/8).

NAMES: The USGA named late golfer PAYNE STEWART as the recipient of the '14 Bob Jones Award.
