On The Move: 247Sports.com Signs Licensing Deal With CoachingSearch.com

College sports recruiting site 247Sports.com has struck a major licensing deal with CoachingSearch.com, a leading, Mississippi-based destination devoted to tracking the career movement of pro and college football coaches. 247Sports.com has signed CoachingSearch.com Founder & CEO Pete Roussel to a long-term contract, and the site will be folded into technology and sales infrastructures of 247Sports.com. Financial terms were not disclosed, but the deal is structured as a license agreement as opposed to an outright acquisition. “We’ve obviously made a big push in recruiting, and similarly, we see the coaching side of the business to be an enormous category, and we’re betting big on it,” said 247Sports.com Founder & CEO Shannon Terry. Roussel also is Coaching Search Consulting Inc. Founder & CEO, and in addition to running CoachingSearch.com, he advises coaches on professional development.
