The PGA Tour Northern Trust Open named former Univ. of Washington Senior Associate AD and former college golf coach O.D. VINCENT Exec Dir, replacing Basketball HOFer JERRY WEST, who has resigned after serving as Exec Dir since May '10 (PGA Tour). West now will "focus his efforts on his role as consultant" for the Warriors. Vincent last month left his post at UW to join the open. Northern Trust Open GM MIKE BONE will retain his position for the '14 event. Vincent is "expected to take over all duties as executive director, as how it's done with most tournaments on the PGA Tour" (L.A. DAILY NEWS, 11/12).

EXECS: The MLB Rangers promoted Senior Dir of Player Personnel A.J. PRELLER to Assistant GM and Dir of Int'l Scouting MIKE DALY to Senior Dir of Minor League Operations (Rangers)....The Red Sox named BRETT MILLER the first member of the team's inaugural Rotational Business Initiative, a collaboration with Montser.com. Miller will assist various departments within the franchise, including Ballpark Operations, Marketing, Fan Services & Entertainment, and Premium & Group Sales (Monster).
