Bradley-Marquez Delivers Gate Of More Than $3M For Top Rank, With 9,164 Tickets Sold

Timothy Bradley's decision victory against Juan Manuel Marquez on Oct. 12 at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas delivered a gate of $3,026,650 on 9,164 tickets sold for Top Rank, a take nearly identical to that which the promoter collected last year from a fight that sold nearly twice as many tickets. Tickets for Bradley-Marquez ranged from $50-800, a significant bump from the $25-600 range Top Rank and co-promoter DiBella Entertainment set for Julio Chavez Jr.'s fight against Sergio Martinez 13 months ago, which delivered a gate of $3,052,475. Bradley-Marquez brought in only $25,825 less than Martinez-Chavez, which sold out the 16,939-seat arena on the same night that popular Canelo Alvarez was fighting across town at the MGM Grand. Top Rank comped 2,159 tickets worth $1,372,000 for Bradley-Marquez, according to Nevada Athletic Commission filings. It comped only 751 tickets for Martinez-Chavez. For Bradley-Marquez, the promotion sold 1,828 tickets at $800; sold 731 tickets at $600; sold 707 tickets at $400; sold $1,278 tickets at $300; sold 537 tickets at $200; sold 2,928 tickets at $100 and sold 1,185 at $50. All but 161 of the 2,159 tickets it comped were in the $400-800 range.
