Sweeney takes over for ANDY HUNT, who left "as part of the major downsizing of the organisation" after the '12 London Games. Sweeney brings "important commercial expertise" to the job, after dealing with "some of the top names in global sport" (London DAILY MAIL, 10/7). Sweeney "will be responsible for directing the day-to-day activities of the BOA," including preparations for the '14 Sochi Games and '16 Rio Games (London TELEGRAPH, 10/7)....L.A.-based brand consulting firm Troika named DAMON HALEY Sports Account Dir (THE DAILY)....Fox Int'l Channels named Fox Cable Sports Exec VP/Ad Sales TODD SIEGEL Exec VP/Int'l Ad Sales & U.S. Partnerships. Siegel will lead efforts to build global ad sales partnerships with U.S.-based clients for FIC and National Geographic Channels Int'l. He will be based in N.Y. (FIC).
