Detroit-based Compuware has "terminated a $600,000-a-year consulting deal" with Hurricanes Owner and former Compuware CEO PETER KARMANOS JR., "about two weeks after he made critical remarks in public about the company’s management." The deal "began when Karmanos retired" as board Chair on March 31. Karmanos also used "colorful language when referencing Elliott Management, a New York hedge fund that continued to pursue Compuware this summer despite a failed takeover bid last winter" (DETROIT FREE PRESS, 10/1).
