Overnight Ratings: ABC Sees Slight Decline For Notre Dame Football Telecast

ABC earned a 3.1 overnight rating for Saturday night’s Notre Dame-Purdue matchup, down slightly from a 3.2 overnight for the comparable Notre Dame-Michigan State game last year. The net also earned a 2.2 overnight for Tennessee-Oregon in the 3:30pm ET window, which went up against CBS’ Alabama-Texas A&M. ESPN’s top college football rating for the weekend was a 1.7 overnight for Wisconsin-Arizona State in the late night window. ESPN/ESPN2 earned a 1.6 overnight for a rain-delayed Geico 400 from Chicagoland Speedway -- the first race in NASCAR’s Chase for the Sprint Cup. The race aired from 3:15-6:00pm on ESPN and then from 10:00-pm-1:15am on ESPN2.
