USSA Names Tiger Shaw President & CEO, Replacing Retiring Bill Marolt

The U.S. Ski & Snowboard Association today named TIGER SHAW its next President & CEO. Shaw will replace BILL MAROLT, who is retiring after the '14 Sochi Games following 18 years in the job. Shaw, a Dartmouth graduate, skied in the '84 and '88 Olympics for Team USA. He is a trustee of the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Foundation and a Senior Dir at Global Rescue LLC, a company that specializes in int'l medical evacuations. Shaw was tapped for the job following a six-month search by the USSA BOD. Korn/Ferry Int'l Vice Chair JED HUGHES led the search. Marolt announced his retirement late last year. He will continue to serve as Int'l Ski Federation VP and remain a member of the USOC BOD. He coached Shaw on the ‘84 Olympic team. In a statement, Marolt said, “Tiger is an outstanding addition to USSA staff leadership as we prepare for Sochi and beyond. He brings an exceptional combination of leadership skills, knowledge and experience gained as an Olympian, USSA club coach, athlete parent and successful entrepreneur and business executive.” Shaw will join the USSA as its COO on Oct. 1. He currently lives in Vermont and will relocate with his wife and family to Park City, Utah, where USSA has its HQs.
