Overnight Ratings: Fox Sees Dip For Eighth UFC Telecast, But Gold Cup Does Well

While ESPN's overnight for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Brickyard 400 led all weekend sports telecasts, the final round of the PGA Tour RBC Canadian Open led telecasts on broadcast TV. The golf tournament, which saw Brandt Snedeker take the win, earned a 1.8 overnight, up from last year, when coverage aired up against London Olympic coverage. Meanwhile, Fox earned a 1.6 for its eighth live UFC telecast, down from a 2.3 for the seventh telecast in April. UFC on Fox 4, which aired last April, earned a 1.7 overnight. Fox also earned a 1.7 overnight for its coverage of the CONCACAF Gold Cup final yesterday, which saw the U.S. defeat Panama.
