Overnight Ratings: TNT's NASCAR Race From Daytona Tops July 4 Weekend

TNT led all weekend sports telecasts with a 3.3 overnight rating for Saturday night’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Coke Zero 400 from Daytona Int’l Speedway, up slightly from a 3.2 overnight for last year’s race. The audience was the best for any NASCAR race on TNT since the same race in ’10. CBS earned a 1.2 overnight rating for its portion of the final round of the PGA Tour Greenbrier Classic from 3:00-6:00pm ET, down from a 2.1 overnight last year. The final round saw weather delays, and Golf Channel concluded coverage of the event from 6:00-8:53pm. ABC earned a 1.1 overnight for the Izod IndyCar Series’ first race at Pocono Raceway in 24 years.
