Rutgers Adding Two New Hospitality Areas For Upcoming Football Season

Rutgers Univ. yesterday announced that it is "adding two new hospitality areas" to HighPoint Solutions Stadium for the coming football season, with "one on the Recruiting Terrace, the other on the Party Deck," according to Tom Luicci of the Newark STAR-LEDGER. The Recruiting Terrace, located in the South end zone under the big-screen scoreboard, will be "available to groups of 50 people at a cost of $125 per person." The amenities include "field access from 30 minutes before game until kickoff; catered food and drinks until halftime and a cash bar that will remain open until the fourth quarter." Fans will be able to "sit at high-top tables in stools," and there will be "sitting tables and chairs available." The Party Deck, located on the west side adjacent to the press box, "offers an elevated sight line of the play." That also is "available to one group of 50 per game at a cost of $125 per person and features a package similar to the Recruiting Terrace (with the exception of on-field access)." Fans also will be able to "watch the game on 12 flat-screen TVs." Meanwhile, Rutgers announced that the Block "R" Party, a "popular pre-game gathering in Athletes' Glen, will be back." The event "starts three hours before the game and concludes 15 minutes prior to kickoff" (NJ.com, 6/4).
