Notable Global Billionaires With Sports Ties On Forbes' Annual Ranking

Forbes’ annual list of the wealthiest people on the planet has many individuals with sports ties. At the top of Forbes’ list again is Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim, who last year bought stakes in two Liga MX clubs -- Pachuca and Leon. Slim also has a stake in Real Oviedo, a lower-tier club in Spain. George Soros joined the ranks with sports ties last year, purchasing a 5% stake in EPL club Manchester United after the club went public on the N.Y. Stock Exchange. Dropping off the list from '12 are Eagles Owner Jeffrey Lurie and Thunder investor Aubrey McLendon. The chart below lists Forbes' Global Billionaires who have notable sports interests (THE DAILY).
