Sports Execs Feel Attendance, TV Ratings Should Be Main Focus For NASCAR In '13

Sports execs feel that race attendance and TV ratings should be NASCAR’s main focus during the ’13 season, according to a Turnkey Sports Poll conducted in January. Thirty-two percent of execs said that race attendance should be the main focus, while 25% said TV ratings. Another 16% of execs said that the 18-34 demo should be the focus. Execs also were provided a list of practices and asked to select up to two that they felt would have the most positive impact on NASCAR. Thirty-two percent of execs felt that shorter races would have the most positive impact, while 27% said fewer races and 21% said reduced ticket prices (Turnkey).
