CAA Sports has signed Texas A&M OT Luke Joeckel, who some analysts project as the No. 1 pick in April’s NFL Draft. This is a guy who can beat you on the football field in multiple ways.” Joeckel this year won the Outland Trophy as the nation's best lineman. Also signing with CAA Sports is Notre Dame LB Manti Te'o. CAA Football co-Head and NFL player agent Tom Condon will lead the team representing Te'o, who finished second in the Heisman Trophy voting (Liz Mullen, SportsBusiness Journal). Meanwhile, Kansas State QB Collin Klein, who finished third in Heisman voting, has signed for representation with Authentic Athletix, an agency "owned and operated by Peter Schaffer" (PROFOOTBALLTALK.com, 1/8).
