FSU's Bjoern Werner Picks CAA Sports For Representation; Athletes First Signs Texas Pair

More top NFL prospects have signed with agents for representation. CAA Sports has signed Florida State DE Bjoern Werner, who is projected as an early first-round NFL Draft pick. CAA Sports agents Jimmy Sexton, Ben Dogra and R.J. Gonser will represent him. Website NFLDraftScout.com had Werner ranked No. 3, and No. 5 on a couple of its mock drafts. Athletes First has signed a number of players for representation, including Texas DE Alex Okafor and S Kenny Vaccaro, USC WR Robert Woods and FSU DE Brandon Jenkins. Athletes First agents Brian Murphy, Andrew Kessler and David Mulugheta will represent the players. Meanwhile, Select Sports Group has signed West Virginia QB Geno Smith. Select Sports Group agents Jeff Nalley, Graylan Crain, Erik Burkhardt and Vann McElroy will represent Smith, Nalley told SportsBusiness Journal. Nalley said all of Select's four NFL player agents represent all of their players. "Our whole firm recruits and signs players together," Nalley said. "We don't have a lead agent (representing Smith)."
