Overnight Ratings: Alamo Bowl Leads Weekend Bowls; UK-Louisville Basketball Down

ESPN’s overnight rating for Texas’ comeback victory over Oregon State topped all college bowl games over the weekend. The Valero Alamo Bowl from 6:45-10:15pm on Saturday earned a 4.3 overnight, down 4% from the Baylor-Washington matchup last year, which aired on a Thursday night. ESPN also earned a 3.4 overnight for the Syracuse-West Virginia New Era Pinstripe Bowl on Saturday afternoon, up 62% from the Rutgers-Iowa State matchup last year, which aired on a Friday afternoon. Meanwhile, CBS earned a 1.6 overnight for the Kentucky-Louisville men’s basketball game from 4:00-6:15pm on Saturday, down 16% from last year.
