Ferrari, McLaren, Red Bull Top Forbes' List Of Most Valuable F1 Racing Teams
Published December 20, 2012
The 10 most-valuable F1 teams earned a combined $1.7B in ‘11, “aided greatly by sponsorships,” according figures compiled by FORBES magazine. Team Ferrari, which occupies the top spot with a value of $1.15B, “spent $165 million more than it won in races” during the ’11 season -- “yet it pulled in an additional $250 million from its eager-to-advertise pals.” McLaren ranked second with a value of $800M, followed by Red Bull ($400M) and Mercedes ($390M) (FORBES, 12/24 issue).
