Michigan Leads FBS In Attendance; Penn State On Pace For Lowest Mark Since '01

Michigan continues to lead all schools in college football home attendance, averaging 111,996 fans per game to date this season. However, that figure is down from the school’s NCAA-record average of 112,179 last season. Penn State ranks fifth overall in attendance, but its average is down 5% from last season’s average and will likely mark the lowest figure since the school expanded the stadium in ’01. Tennessee also continues its attendance slide, down 3% and on pace for the school’s lowest mark since Neyland Stadium expanded in ’96. Florida is averaging 88,366 per game, on pace for the school’s lowest attendance since ’04. After selling out every game since ’98, the string was finally broken for Virginia Tech at Lane Stadium this season. USC is seeing a big lift at the gate. After the school's lowest attendance since ’02 last season, attendance at L.A. Memorial Coliseum is up 16% (THE DAILY).
