CBS Sports named BESS BARNES VP/College Sports Programming, in addition to announcing expanded programming roles for Exec VP/Programming ROB CORREA and Senior VP/Programming DAN WEINBERG. Barnes comes to CBS after serving as ESPN Programming & Acquisitions Dir. Reporting to Weinberg, she will be responsible for day-to-day management of college sports programming for CBS Sports' broadcast and cable properties, including scheduling and acquisitions (CBS Sports).

EXECS: Retiring UConn men’s basketball coach JIM CALHOUN “will become a special assistant” to AD WARDE MANUEL, “providing services to the university in support of men’s basketball, the Division of Athletics, the UConn Health Center, and the university at large.” The agreement runs through March 21.
