NFL Panthers Inviting Fans To Club's First Free And Open Practice In June

The NFL Panthers next week will hold the team's first "open-to-fans workout the team has held in June" since the club joined the NFL in '95, according to Scott Fowler of the CHARLOTTE OBSERVER. The "free and open practice" will be held Thursday, June 14 from 11:30am-1:20pm ET at Bank of America Stadium. Fans are "welcome to attend the non-contact practice, and the scheduling should allow many uptown workers a shot at using their lunch break to watch the team." The extra chance for "fans to see the Panthers in their home stadium was head coach Ron Rivera's idea." Rivera said, "We sure would love our fans to come out. ... It will give our players a chance to get inside the stadium and kind of introduce them to the stadium and the fans of Charlotte." The practice "will have no cheerleaders and no mascots." The team does "plan to make limited concessions available." The practice will "give Panthers fans a chance to see the new version of their team about six weeks earlier than usual" (CHARLOTTE OBSERVER, 6/8).
