Among the "sizable turnout of mourners" were former UM coaches HOWARD SCHNELLENBERGER, BUTCH DAVIS and RANDY SHANNON, former players BERNIE KOSAR and STEVE WALSH, FIU AD PETE GARCIA and former UM President EDWARD FOOTE. Dee was the "longest-serving athletic director in UM's history." Schnellenberger said, "He carried this program through a wonderful time, the greatest dynasty enjoyed by any college in my memory. ...
