Overnight Ratings: ABC's Thunder-Lakers Leads Weekend Sports With 3.8 Overnight

ABC earned a 3.8 overnight Nielsen rating for its coverage of Thunder-Lakers yesterday from 3:30-6:45pm ET, topping all weekend sports telecasts. The game earned a 13.6 local rating Oklahoma City, marking ABC's best regular-season NBA game ever in the market. Compared the net's final NBA regular-season telecast last season (Celtics-Heat), Thunder-Lakers is up 19%. Fox earned a 3.7 overnight for coverage of the NASCAR Sprint Cup STP 400 yesterday. Last year the race aired in early June, earning a 3.8 overnight.  CBS earned a 1.6 overnight for the final round of the PGA Tour Valero Texas Open yesterday, which saw Ben Curtis win his first event since ’06 with a two-stroke win. That figure is up from a 1.3 overnight for the tournament’s final round last year.
