2012 will go down as one of the busiest years for sports lawyers, as new labor deals were struck in the NFL, NBA and Major League Baseball. Those deals may be done, but sports lawyers will continue to expand their roles as the business grows more complex. Whether it’s player contracts, team sales, facility plans, sponsor agreements or media deals, we’ll look at how sports lawyers get a seat at the table and why their influence continues to rise.
