Four Sports Channels Among Top 10 For Cable Net Monthly Subscriber Fees

Dedicated sports channels account for four of the top 10 cable network sub fees, with ESPN leading all nets at $5.06 per sub per month, according to recent estimates from SNL Kagan and Barclays Capital. Among all cable networks with at least 40 million subs (excluding any RSNs), ESPN and ESPN 3D top the list, with 3net, TNT and Disney Channel rounding out the top five. Also ranking in the top 10 are NFL Network and ESPN2, while Fox College Sports and Big Ten Network rank in the top 25 (SNL Kagan/Barclays Capital).
