Bud Light Preferred Beer Among Younger Sports Fans; Local/Microbrews Popular For 55+ Demo

Sports fans 21-34 years old are more likely to drink Bud Light and Budweiser, while older demos trend more toward local brands and microbrews, according to data collected earlier this month from research firm Repucom. Among sports fans polled between the ages of 21-34, 39.6% said they prefer Bud Light, while 26.2% said Budweiser. Among the 35-54 demo, Bud Light drew 25.0%, while Coors Light got 16.1% for second place. Among sports fans 55+, Bud Light and local/microbrews shared the top spot at 14.4% (Repucom).
