49ers CEO JED YORK has "handed over the title of team president to GIDEON YU," who recently purchased a 1% stake in the team. Yu, who was hired as the team's Chief Strategy Officer in April, "will be responsible for all business operations, which includes the construction of a new stadium in Santa Clara." He previously served as CFO of Facebook and YouTube (S.F. CHRONICLE, 2/11). The 49ers also granted GM TRENT BAALKE a three-year contract extension through the '16 season (49ers).

EXECS: The Collegiate Licensing Co. named CATHERINE GAMMON Senior VP/Brand Development. Gammon most recently served as a consultant to Coca-Cola and previously spent nearly a decade working for Russell Athletic/Spalding (CLC)....Churchill Downs racetrack promoted Senior Dir of Partnership Development & Activation KRISTIN WARFIELD to VP/Partnerships (Churchill Downs)....DIANE DUNLOP-HEBERT has been appointed the 109th President of Golf Canada. She is "only the second female president in the 116-year history" of the organization (GLOBEANDMAIL.com, 2/12)....The Univ. of Louisiana named Colorado State Univ. Assistant Development Dir KEN WINSTEAD Senior Associate AD and Cleveland State Univ. Assistant AD/Communications BRIAN MCCANN SID (UL).
