Overnight Ratings: PGA Tour Phoenix Open Final Round Flat; UNC-MD Tops NCAA Hoops

Coverage of all things Super Bowl led the weekend’s sports TV overnights, with the Super Bowl getting its third-best overnight on record. CBS’ coverage of the final round of the PGA Tour Waste Management Phoenix Open led all non-NFL overnights with a 2.0 rating for Kyle Stanley’s come-from-behind win over Spencer Levin. That figure is flat compared to last year, when Mark Wilson won the event. Coverage of the golf telecast on Saturday earned a 1.6 overnight, down 20%. ESPN’s North Carolina-Maryland led all college basketball telecasts over the weekend, with Saturday afternoon’s matchup earning a 1.7 overnight.
