Wasserman Media Group Expands Into Freeskiing, Hires Agent Michael Spencer

Wasserman Media Group is expanding its action sports division into freeskiing by hiring one of the sport's most established agents, Michael Spencer. The hire comes two years before freeskiing joins the Olympics. Spencer, the founder of Ego Sports, will bring a client of athletes headlined by Simon Dumont to Wasserman and serve as the agency's director of action and Olympic sports. Wasserman also hired Jacob Agajanian, who will join the agency as Dir of Motorsports. He comes to Wasserman from Motorsports Management Int'l, which was founded by his father, pioneering motorsports agent Cary Agajanian. Jacob Agajanian will work on Wasserman's consulting responsibilities with the Richard Petty Driving Experience business, the development of a gymkhanna driving experience, sales for the Global RallyCross series and Pastrana Racing's RallyCross team.
