ESPN's Barry Larkin Facing No Media Restrictions Should He Be Elected To HOF

Former MLBer and current ESPN MLB analyst Barry Larkin will first appear on ESPN should he be elected to the Baseball HOF next week, as is expected, but he has no subsequent restrictions with regard to appearing on other TV outlets. Larkin joined ESPN last February from MLB Network, but sources close to Larkin said he requested to be permitted to appear elsewhere should he be elected. The Baseball Writers Association of America's '12 HOF election results will be announced Monday, with a press conference scheduled for the following day in N.Y. with any honorees. Both ESPN and MLB Network have planned extensive coverage of the HOF vote, with the MLB Network also planning to have any winners, including Larkin, in its Secaucus, N.J., studios Tuesday for interviews and live remotes the previous day.
