Packers Favorite NFL Team Among Voters, While Cowboys Are Most Disliked

Twenty-two percent of voters said that the Packers are their favorite NFL team, the most of any club, according to a recent national survey conducted by the firm Public Policy Polling (PPP). The Cowboys finished second in the poll, but also led a separate survey that asked fans who their least favorite team is. The Packers were seen positively by 57% of voters, compared to only 13% who had a negative opinion. The Cowboys were generally viewed negatively, with 29% of voters having a favorable opinion, compared to 41% with a negative one. The Packers also had a positive image across various demographics, including ideology, gender, race and age. In addition, the team had favorable opinions from Republicans, Democrats and Independents. Respondents were provided the top nine most-popular NFL teams based on the most recent Harris Poll survey, except for the Saints replacing the Colts due to the team’s on-field performance in ’11. Listed below are select results from PPP’s survey, which was conducted via automated telephone interview from Dec. 16-18 (PPP).
