In California, Kevin Ding reported a bankruptcy court filing shows an entity representing Lakers G KOBE BRYANT is "now a creditor against Orange County-based Power Balance for $400,000." Clippers F BLAKE GRIFFIN, who endorses the company, "is owed $20,000.” Also on the list “of biggest creditors are the Los Angeles Kings ($250,491), Sacramento Kings ($100,000) and skateboarder RYAN SHECKLER ($25,000)” (OCREGISTER.com, 11/22). In Milwaukee, Don Walker reported Bucks G BRANDON JENNINGS “is also listed as a creditor,” but the amount of money he is owed was not disclosed (JSONLINE.com, 11/22).

TWITTER SAVVY: In Indianapolis, Ray Cortopassi profiled Colts Owner JIM IRSAY and wrote he is “a showman with a knack for knowing how to play with his fans.” Irsay said, “You really go out and you reach out to each and every individual fan that you can.” Irsay last year “jumped onto Twitter headfirst.” In 140 characters or less, Irsay “enjoys being the instigator who lets the readers' interpretations run wild.” Twitter for Irsay “has been cathartic in these dark times, where the Colts losses have outshadowed everything else.” He said, “There’s a psychiatric aspect to that, where people have a chance to speak and express themselves” (FOX59.com, 11/22).

BAYOU BASH: In New Orleans, Kate Urbaszewski wrote with a new management team at the helm of the State Farm Bayou Classic, the Grambling-Southern football game is "expanding to include more activities, including the return of its Thanksgiving Day parade.” New events include “a post-game party on the Superdome’s new club level, a golf tournament, a Gospel brunch, a panel discussion about the future of black universities, and a health, jobs, college and technology fair” (NOLA.com, 11/21).

NAMES: The Indianapolis Super Bowl Host Committee announced Tuesday that it has "raised $1 million -- its goal -- for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Tissue Bank at IU Simon Cancer Center” (INDIANAPOLIS STAR, 11/23)….Marlins RF MIKE STANTON, C BRETT HAYES and LF BRYAN PETERSEN will be part of a team visiting U.S. troops in Japan, Guam and Hawaii from December 1-15.  (AP, 11/21)….White Sox GM KENNY WILLIAMS’ house was broken into over the weekend. The intruder “walked off with some of Williams’ clothes and his 2005 World Series ring” (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 11/23)….Former MLBer MANNY RAMIREZ sold his Boston penthouse at the Ritz-Carlton for $5.5M, six years after he first put it on the market. It sold for $3M less than his highest asking price (BOSTON HERALD, 11/22).
