Poll: Sports Execs Rate Fan Safety Lower At NASCAR, NFL Venues

Sports execs feel that the safety of fans in the stands at NFL games and NASCAR races are at lower levels compared to other major U.S. pro sports leagues, according to a Turnkey Sports Poll taken in October. Among execs polled, 12% said fans at NFL games were not safe at all, and 10% felt the same way about a NASCAR race. MLS scored the highest in terms of safety, with 34% of respondents rating games at those venues as completely safe. Only 15% of respondents said NASCAR venues were completely safe for fans (Turnkey Sports).
