In this week's SPORTSBUSINESS JOURANAL, Terry Lefton reports the NFL promoted Dir of Business Development RENIE ANDERSON to VP/Business Development, Sponsorship & Media Sales (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 10/17 issue)....MAGGIE SANCHEZ is "out" as Marketing Dir for the Rio '16 Games. Also "dismissed" were two members of her team, DAVID ALSTADTER and ROGERIO LUDORF. Rio '16 Communications Dir CARLOS VILLANOVA cited "incompatibility, a difference in philosophy" as the reasons for the changes. The IOC and TOP sponsors "were notified of the development in a letter" sent last week. The letter "does not mention reasons for the changes" (AROUNDTHERINGS.com, 10/15)....Li Ning named LU NING COO. Also, HSU MAO CHUN, MORRISON, Chief Product Officer of the Li-Ning brand, has resigned from his position, effective Nov. 13., due to family reasons (Li Ning)....The Aspire Group named MELISSA ALTMIX Ticket Sales Consultant (THE DAILY).
