NFL Attendance Down 1.1% Through Week Five; Redskins Down Big At FedExField

NFL teams are averaging 66,901 fans per game through Week Five, down 1.1% compared to the same period a year ago. The Cowboys lead all clubs with an average of 87,892 fans for their home games, but that mark is down nearly 4% from the start of last season. The Redskins are seeing a sharp decline, with average attendance at FedExField more than 10,000 fans per game. The undefeated Lions are seeing the biggest uptick in attendance, with average gate up 13.8%. Listed below is team-by-team attendance for NFC clubs through Week Five, with comparisons to last season.
