NFL Launches Women's Line Timed With N.Y. Fashion Week

The NFL launched its new women’s line “last week, timed to New York’s Fashion Week,” according to Michele Meyer of USA TODAY. The line includes items such as “denim skirts, rain boots and gem-blinged bangles.” NFL VP/Consumer Products & Apparel Tracey Bleczinski said, “This year we have as many products, if not more, for women as for men. ... Probably the only type of product we’re not in right now is cosmetics, other than nail polish.” Meyer notes the new “gridiron girl garb is destined for the office (fitted retro-team burnout T-shirts and logo adorned denim skirts) and cocktails (Swarovski-studded Henley tops). Bleczinski: “Our offerings reflect how robust our female fan base is. We’re looking for better ways to serve them. … Fans tell us they can’t get enough, so we’ve broadened our offering” (USA TODAY, 9/21).
