In an interview with the BOSTON HERALD's Karen Guregian, Patriots Owner ROBERT KRAFT "spoke of the void in facing a season without his beloved wife MYRA, who died July 20." Kraft's office is "adorned with countless pictures of her." Kraft admitted that he "still doesn’t sleep very well -- if at all -- at night as he continues to deal with the loss." He is "often up in the middle of the night, reading through the countless letters that have come from well-wishers, and people wanting to donate to the The Myra Kraft Giving Back Scholarship Fund." Kraft is "clearly moved by all of the support and buoyed by the millions of dollars the fund has already raised," but the "day-to-day living remains a constant struggle." He said, "It’s like I’m in and out, up and down. Thank God for NFL football" (BOSTON HERALD, 9/11).

WORD FROM THE WISE: In N.Y., Ron Lieber examines financial problems that pro athletes often encounter under the header, "Financial Lessons From Sports Stars' Mistakes." Pro Football HOFer STEVE YOUNG, now Managing Dir at private equity firm Huntsman Gay Global Capital, believes that NFL rookies need to "deliberately slow down." Huntsman Dir of Player Services & Development DANA HAMMONDS said, "There is absolutely no need to get involved in any kind of investments.
