Major League Lacrosse Sets Regular-Season Attendance Mark

Major League Lacrosse averaged 6,417 fans per game during the '11 regular season, marking the league's best attendance figure since its inaugural season in '01. This year's attendance is up 21.6% from 5,278 fans per game last season. The Denver Outlaws set a league record with 12,331 fans per game, up 14.4% from the team's mark in '10. The Outlaws have now led the league in attendance every season since the franchise joined MLL in '06. The biggest year-over-year gain belonged to the Chesapeake Bayhawks, who saw attendance jump 85% at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis. The sharpest drop in attendance belonged to the Hamilton Nationals (-55.5%), who played the prior two seasons in Toronto.
