In West Palm Beach, Brian Biggane writes Dolphins WR BRANDON MARSHALL was "introspective, thoughtful and directed" yesterday as he offered to "make himself the new face of a behavioral problem known as Borderline Personality Disorder," a condition he has been diagnosed with. Marshall said that having a "better understanding of its effects and how to deal with them should make him better both on and off the field." Marshall is "filming a documentary that he hopes will make him a spokesman for the disorder" (PALM BEACH POST, 8/1).

FUELING THE JETS' SUCCESS: In N.Y., Ben Shpigel profiled Jets GM MIKE TANNENBAUM, whose "aggressive style has transformed" the team. Tannenbaum "approaches his job as if he were building a fantasy team," and "creativity is a Tannenbaum trademark." CBS NFL analyst and former GM CHARLEY CASSERLY said, "There's no question that Mike is very organized and that he always has a plan" (N.Y. TIMES, 7/31).

RACING TO BOX OFFICE: In N.Y., Brad Spurgeon noted a film about the life of late F1 racer AYRTON SENNA "has become the third-most successful documentary at the box office in Britain." The film, entitled "SENNA" and directed by ASIF KAPADIA, has grossed nearly US$5M since its release in the U.K. in early June. The "success of the film has demonstrated Senna's appeal beyond sports and racing fans" (N.Y. TIMES, 7/31).
