Extending Its Stay: Wyndham To Title PGA Tour Stop In Greensboro Through '16

Wyndham Worldwide, the title sponsor of the PGA Tour event in Greensboro since '07, will announce a four-year extension today. Wyndham initially signed a four-year deal that ran through the '10 tournament and then signed a two-year renewal last year through '12. This latest extension keeps Wyndham on the title at Sedgefield Country Club through the '16 event. The Wyndham Championship has bounced around the schedule in its 72 years as a PGA Tour event, but it seems to have found a home since '07 as the final tournament before the start of the FedExCup playoffs. This year’s event will be Aug. 18-21.
