Del Mar Racetrack Looks To Build On Attendance Gains From '10 Summer Meet

Del Mar Racetrack today begins its 37-day summer meet that will run through Sept. 7. The track averaged 17,906 fans during last year's 37 days of horse racing, its highest-attended summer session since '87. Last year's average attendance was up 4.2% from '09. Listed below is an attendance trend for Del Mar's summer meet over the last 25 years (THE DAILY).
