Overnight Ratings: Women's World Cup, British Open, Sprint Cup Lead The Weekend

Cable TV telecasts topped sports ratings from this past weekend, led by ESPN's Sunday coverage of the FIFA Women's World Cup final and the final round of the British Open. TNT wrapped up its NASCAR Sprint Cup Series coverage with a 2.9 overnight Nielsen rating for the Lenox Industrial Tools 301 from New Hampshire Motor Speedway, up 12% from the same race last year. MLB regional coverage on Fox led broadcast TV sports telecasts with a 2.2 overnight, which predominantly featured Red Sox-Rays and Phillies-Mets.
