ISC named Michigan Int'l Speedway VP/Consumer Sales & Marketing DENNIS BICKMEIER Richmond Int'l Raceway President, replacing DOUG FRITZ, who has resigned to pursue other opportunities (RIR). Bickmeier said Martinsville Speedway President CLAY CAMPBELL "is going to come up to give us a hand for a little while." In Richmond, Vic Dorr Jr. writes, "Fritz had the misfortune of running the track during an industry-wide malaise created by a sluggish economy." Attendance "has dipped in recent years." But "adversity notwithstanding, Fritz promoted the track diligently" (RICHMOND TIMES-DISPATCH, 7/7).

FILLING ANOTHER OPENING: Time Warner Cable announced another hire for its new sports division, bringing on DAN FINNERTY as TWC Sports Senior VP. A former Comcast exec, Finnerty will report to TWC Sports President DAVID RONE. Finnerty will lead affiliate sales and affiliate marketing for the TWC Sports Regional Networks (John Ourand, THE DAILY).
