Overnight Ratings: TNT NASCAR Up At Daytona; Yankees-Mets Boosts Fox

TNT's Saturday night coverage of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Coke Zero 400 from Daytona Int'l Speedway led all weekend sports broadcasts with a 3.2 overnight Nielsen rating, up 10.3% from a 2.9 overnight last year. The Nationwide Series Subway Jalapeno 250 on ESPN Friday night saw overnight ratings flat with '10. MLB coverage on Fox on Saturday led weekend sports on broadcast TV with a 2.5 overnight, with Yankees-Mets featured in 79% of U.S. markets. CBS' final round coverage of the PGA Tour AT&T National (1.7 overnight) was down slightly on Sunday. Tiger Woods missed this year's event after playing in last year's, where he finished tied for 46th. ESPN's coverage of the annual Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest on July 4 from 12:00-1:00pm ET earned a 1.1 overnight, down slightly from a 1.2 rating last year.
