CONCACAF Gold Cup Averages 45,117 Fans Per Session, Up 25% From '09

The '11 CONCACAF Gold Cup averaged 45,117 fans per session, up 25% from 36,123 fans in '09 and up 20% from '07. Sessions featuring Mexico were again the largest draw during the tournament. The team's six sessions averaged 69,249 fans, up 29% from an average of 53,478 fans during the '09 Gold Cup. The U.S. team averaged 47,587 fans per session, up 23% from 38,655 in '09. The Mexico-U.S. final at the Rose Bowl was the top draw of the tournament, drawing 93,420 fans, up 18% from 79,156 fans for the same matchup in the final in '09 at Giants Stadium. The U.S.-Mexico final in '07 drew 60,000 fans at Soldier Field (THE DAILY).
