MLB late yesterday formally rejected the proposed TV deal between the Dodgers and Fox, setting up a potential legal showdown between team owner Frank McCourt and the league. MLB Commissioner Bud Selig was particularly displeased a pending divorce settlement between McCourt and ex-wife Jamie would have taken about $150M out of $385M in upfront rights fees from Fox and used it for divorce-related matters such as attorneys' fees, personal funds to Frank and Jamie, and a divorce court-monitored account.
