Dubiel leaving Pepsi sports
marketing after 13 years
In this week's SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, Terry Lefton reports Pepsi VP/Sports Marketing JEFF DUBIEL "has resigned from the company after 13 years." Dubiel has headed Pepsi's sports marketing since November '08. He said, "This was entirely a personal decision. I've had a lot of fun and satisfaction doing sports marketing for Pepsi, but after 13 years, I just decided it was time to think about something new." Dubiel said that he "would stay with Pepsi through the end of June." Lefton notes the "question of a successor to Dubiel is an intriguing one, since his departure comes during a time of reorganization within Pepsi" (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 6/20 issue).
