Titans Extend Radio, TV Contracts; Games Will Air On Satellite Radio For First Time

The Titans “have agreed to multi-year contract extensions with their longtime radio and television partners,” according to Jim Wyatt of the Nashville TENNESSEAN. The new deal with Citadel Broadcasting Corporation, which “owns flagship station WGFX 104.5-FM, allows home games to be broadcast on SiriusXM.” The Titans were the “only NFL team without their own broadcast on satellite radio.” The Titans also “continued their agreement with Young Broadcasting, Inc.,” which owns WKRN-ABC. WKRN is "scheduled to show all the preseason games this fall." The deal also includes airing coach Mike Munchak’s weekly television show, though the "exact time ... is undetermined.” WGFX will “continue to carry all Titans programming,” including “The Mike Munchak Show.” The Titans “have been partners with Citadel and Young since the franchise moved to Nashville” in '98 (Nashville TENNESSEAN, 6/17).
