The Univ. of Tennessee Thursday named Women's AD JOAN CRONAN Interim Vice Chancellor & AD, replacing MIKE HAMILTON, who resigned as AD on Tuesday. Cronan "will leave her post" in June '12 and "take on the role as a senior adviser to the school's vice chancellor and chancellor through June 2014." UT's new AD hire is "expected to be made in the next six to eight weeks" and will "oversee the entire athletic department" (KNOXVILLE NEWS-SENTINEL, 6/10).
