Wing Forward: Rickie Fowler Latest Athlete To Sign Agreement With Red Bull

Red Bull added up-and-coming golfer Rickie Fowler to its list of athlete endorsers this week, keeping the energy drink in the men’s golf space after it lost Camilo Villegas recently. Fowler, who used to ride motocross as a teen before turning his focus to golf, announced the deal with Red Bull via Twitter and Facebook earlier this week and began making appearances in Augusta, Ga., prior to The Masters with Saints RB Reggie Bush, another Red Bull ambassador. The two visited the Double Eagle Club on Washington Road, where they posed for a photo in front of a Red Bull-branded vehicle. Puma already has a head-to-toe deal with Fowler, the PGA Tour’s '10 Rookie of the Year, but Red Bull will use the golfer for appearances and in media. Teenage female golfer Alexis Thompson also represents Red Bull. Villegas had been with Red Bull since he turned pro in '06 and was active in Red Bull appearances earlier this year, but the two parted ways recently for unexplained reasons.
